Our Wood-Mizer LX250 is a 38 HP gas-powered bandsaw mill that handles the logs other mills won't touch. With a 55-inch log diameter capacity and a 54-1/2" maximum width of cut, we can take on the widest walnut slabs, the biggest white oak, and the longest timber frames you need.

Solar Kiln Service

Green lumber warps, checks, and moves. Kiln-dried lumber stays stable. Our solar kiln holds 2,000–2,400 board feet and uses natural solar heat to pull moisture out of freshly milled wood.

What is the maximum width you can cut?

Our Wood-Mizer LX250 cuts up to 54-1/2 inches wide and handles logs up to 55 inches in diameter.

How fast is turnaround on custom milling?

Turnaround depends on job complexity: 1–3 days for simple cuts or walk-ins, 3+ days for standard milling, 7+ days for complex or large orders, and two weeks for high-volume orders. Kiln drying adds additional time — drying times may vary.

What type of sawing do you do?

Quarter, live, and rift.

Do you offer portable milling?

Yes. We use an Alaskan sawmill (24″ and 36″) for portable on-site milling. $200 minimum per job plus a $25 sharpening charge required on every job. A $75 damage fee applies if the chain breaks or hits metal. Call 260-668-6255 to schedule.

Do you offer kiln drying?

Yes. Our solar kiln holds 2,000 to 2,400 board feet. We dry to 7–8% moisture content for interior applications and 12–15% for exterior. Drying times may vary.

Can you do straight-line ripping?

Yes. Straight-line ripping is available as part of our milling services. Contact us for pricing and scheduling.
